Unbelief, the Enemy of God

Hebrews 3:12 (King James Version)

By Carolyn Bridges

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. (13) For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end.

Believe means to have confidence in a statement or promise of another person; to have trust or confidence in.  Therefore to believe God means to have confidence in the statements and promises of God; to have trust or confidence in God.
God led the children of Israel out of Egyptian bondage in a miraculous manner.  He supernaturally caused them to escape death.  He fed them with bread from heaven.  He quenched their thirst with water poured from a rock.  He led them by a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.  Yet, each time they faced a challenge they doubted God.
Doubt is the same as unbelief.  They did not believe, and God said that was evil.  We do not want to be considered evil.  Therefore, we must set our hearts to believe God.  Decide today to speak what God’s word says. The more you speak it the more it will become a part of you. Make this faith confession today:
              Lord, I believe.
I believe that I receive my healing.
I believe that my family is saved.
I believe that Jesus is Lord.
I believe that I am prosperous.
I believe that I have an anointing from God.
I believe that all things are possible.
              I am a believer.
Because you believe, all things are possible to you.  Whatever challenge you are facing let God know where you stand.  The challenge may be difficult, but you have what it takes to overcome.  God never said this road would be easy.  That is why He made you. He needed a strong man and a strong woman to get the job done.
You are not a weakling.  You are strong.  With the anointing of God in you, you have the strength of ten lions.  There is nothing you cannot do, no mountain you cannot climb, no valley you cannot cross, no ocean you cannot swim.  You are a winner.
So when you overcome, encourage your friends to do the same.
Don’t take my word for it; read it in the Bible:

Luke 22:31-32; Ephesians 6:10-18; Philippians 4:13

Have a great day in the Lord.
