Mark 11:25-26
“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
I heard someone say once that unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the person that offended you to get sick from it. Obviously if you drink the poison it will only get you sick. The only person that is affected by unforgiveness is the person holding the grudge. Not only will it hurt you, but God won’t answer your prayer until you forgive. Always have a heart of forgiveness.

Forgiveness is necessary if we are going to receive anything from the Lord. We all want God to forgive us when we’ve done something wrong, but God also wants us to forgive others. It is a Christian principle. The above scripture says when you go to God in prayer, go having forgiven anyone that has offended you. That means family members, spouse, children, anyone.

Prayer: Father, in the Name of Jesus I forgive ___________. It doesn’t matter what they’ve done. Because you have forgiven me, I forgive ___________. Your love does not compare to what they’ve done to me. So, Father I forgive them in the precious name of Jesus.
