Now Is The Time
Psalm 138:8 (King James Version)
The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
God has placed gifts, talents, and abilities in you that no one else can do as well as you. Now is the time to tap into those things and let your light shine for Jesus. There are people that you can reach with the Gospel that no one else can reach. There are jobs that you can do that no one else can do the way you can do them. You are valuable to God; and you are valuable to the people around you.
The text says that the Lord will perfect that which concerns you. God has something good in store for you, and He is working with you each and every day to cause those things to become sharp. And guess what? It is not just one thing. God has many things for you. He has things for you to experience and things for you to do. So, it is time to reject anything that would demean you or see you as mediocre. You are not mediocre! You are more than a conqueror!
Now is the time to accept God’s commission for your life. You are commissioned to greatness. Philippians 1:6 says, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” God has started a good work in you. Only you know what that work is. But what He started, He will finish. Be encouraged, that God said what He meant, and He meant what He said. He has begun a good work in you, and He shall finish the work!
Now is the time to believe the word of God. Now is the time to say about you what the word of God says about you. Philemon 1:6 says, “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” It is time to communicate to God your position in this matter. Acknowledge to Him that you are ready to accept the task. You are ready to go down the road of greatness. And that you accept the bright future that He has for you. Praise God forever more!
Have a great day in the Lord.
