Day 37 – 40 Days of Prayer, Justice

Day 37

40
Days of Prayer

Justice

To the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ we pray:

We pray today for judges all across the United States of
America, for they sit in their places of authority to do judgment and justice
on behalf of every American.  Just as
they have been appointed to decide hard cases, we ask You to open their eyes
that they may see; that they may judge according to Your standards.  We ask for those who do not know You, Father,
that You send laborers across their paths that will minister to them on the
level that can receive it, so that they may hear the gospel and accept Jesus as
their Lord.

We ask that Your angels surround them, keeping them safe
from evil, hurt, harm and danger.  We
call them holy men and women who sit in these seats, as they honor You above
all else.  For, You said that if we look
to You for our help, that all would be well with us.  Let their prayer be toward You every morning
as David said in Psalm 5:

My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will
direct it to You, And I will look up. Psalm 5:3 (NKJV*)

We ask for judges who adhere to the original intent of our
founding documents and their many connections to Biblical principles; and that
they connect with You, to get Your intent for this nation. We ask for leaders
that judge according to Your righteous standards as us set forth by Moses in Deuteronomy
1:16-17.

Finally, it is our prayer that our judges have the heart
that Solomon had as it states in 1 Kings 3:5-9:

“At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God
said, “Ask! What shall I give you?” …

And Solomon said, “You have made Your servant king instead of my father
David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. And
Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great
people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. Therefore give to
Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern
between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of
Yours?” (NKJV*)

This is our prayer today, Father.  We ask it in Jesus’ name, and thank you for
answering our prayer according to Your merciful kindness.  Amen
