Father, please awaken and lead our
people and our leaders to a reverent understanding and adherence to Your
laws. We thank You for our elected
officials and ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory, as Paul
asked in Ephesians 1:17-23, that He may grant them a spirit of wisdom and
revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate]
knowledge of Him, by having the eyes of their heart flooded with light, so that
they can know and understand the hope to which He has called them, and how rich
is His glorious inheritance in them (the Church).

We pray that they can know and
understand what is the immeasurable, unlimited and surpassing greatness of His
power in and for all who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty
strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and
seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule, authority,
power and dominion, above and every title that can be conferred, not only in
this age, but also in the age which are to come.

We declare that there is great
peace in this nation because we hate evil and love God’s law.
