Day 4
Leaders
I exhort, therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4
We make room in our hearts to make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and give You thanks, Heavenly Father, for all men, for the president of the United States and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
Please give our elected leaders ears to hear Your wisdom and guidance, and the discernment, courage, and strength to carry out Your direction. We ask, Father, for You to move their hearts to honor You as their highest Authority, realizing their job is to work on behalf of American citizens. We declare this day that they are surrounded with people who advise them skillfully and godly that they may do that which is pleasing in your sight, as they preserve the rights of its citizens, among which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
We further declare as it says in your word that the heart of a king is in the hands of the Lord. As rivers of water, you turn it whichever way You will. We trust You to turn the hearts of our leaders according to Your will. But our trust is and always will be in You and You alone. We pray this in Jesus' name.
