Day 22
The Love of God is for Everybody
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (New King James Version)
To the God and Father of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ:
Father, we thank You for LOVING the WHOLE WORLD! We pray for healing and restoration of holiness. We thank You for making us wise to guard the Constitution that we may be protected against all attempts to redefine Your creation. Father, when You created man You said that it is very good. It is on Your word we stand.
Now, according to 1 Timothy 2:1-4 and Ephesians 1:18 we intercede for those that call themselves homosexuals, gay or lesbian. Father, we ask You to open their eyes and give them light. And since we have prayed, we believe You have answered our prayer. Therefore, we say over the gay community that the eyes of their understanding are enlightened; that they may know the hope to which You have called them, and they know what is the riches of the glory of His inheritance in them. We ask that laborers are sent across their path to minister Your love to them in a way that they can understand and receive it. If they are broken hearted, You are the one who heals broken hearts. If they are hurt very deep inside, Jesus carried all of their griefs and sorrows. Show them that you LOVE them.
Further, show them how to come to You through Jesus our wonderful Lord. For Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30 in the Message translation:
“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me--watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
In the wonderful name of Jesus we pray. Amen. So be it.
