Day 21
Marriage
To the God and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ:
We pray that Americans everywhere have a renewed sense of the sanctity of the marriage union between a man and a woman.
Father, Your word says in the book of beginnings, Genesis 2:21-24, “And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
May this truth permeate the hearts and minds of every Christian across America today. May the light of You word shine brightly concerning this issue through ministers, lawyers and legislators that believe the truth of Your word.
Father, we thank You because these words from Genesis were spoken out of Your mouth, and Your words shall not return to you without power. On the contrary, they shall accomplish that You please and prosper in this earth.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. So be it.
