Day 14
The Pursuit of Happiness
Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God, Psalm 146:5
To the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Thank you for our founders’ foresight in establishing our God-given right to pursue happiness. The scripture says that happiness is found when we have Your wisdom, wisdom to know what to do in every situation. Also, we are happy when we know that You are our God. We are happy when we know that we can go to You for help. So, this day, we thank You Father for a nation that allows us to pursue all the happiness our heart can contain.
We ask that this freedom is never tampered with, and never changed. We ask according to your word in Matthew 7:7-11: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
“Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil (natural), know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”
So, Father, we ask in the name of Jesus for the blessing of being able to pursue happiness in this great nation. Thank you for hearing our prayer and for answering our prayer. Amen.
