Day 13 - 31 Days of Prayer, Liberty - Choose Life
To the God and Father of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ:
Thank You for our founders’ quest to freely worship You, knowing that real freedom comes from knowing You through Your word. They died so that we could CHOOSE LIFE. They gave their lives so that we could freely study the Word of God that makes us free. For Jesus, Himself, said in John 8:31-32, “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
So, we thank You, Father, that we have a government which protects the freedom You’ve already given us. Now, at this time, we hold our ground in this freedom and do not turn to our old ways of thinking. (Galatians 5:1) We thank You that the results of all elections will not change the freedom we have to openly and freely proclaim the light of the word of God. We send the angels of the Lord forth to influence those who are in positions of authority to uphold the U.S. Constitution. More specifically, we thank You Father that the following freedoms shall be upheld, as taken from the First Amendment:
There shall be NO LAW prohibiting the free exercise of religion.
There shall be NO LAW prohibiting our freedom to preach the whole Bible.
There shall be NO LAW prohibiting the right for us to assemble peaceable in our churches, homes, businesses, and any other public place we wish to assemble.
We hear you telling us in Deuteronomy 30:19 the way to be blessed is to CHOOSE LIFE:
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
We thank You that we are free to CHOOSE LIFE, the Bible way. Today, we CHOOSE LIFE as God has it. We CHOOSE the blessing. We CHOOSE Your way so that we and our descendants may live to love the Lord our God, to obey His voice and to cling to Him, because He is our life and the length of our days.
Today, we thank You for life, in Jesus’ name. Amen. So be it.
