Day 12 31 Days of Prayer, Praise God for Our Life

Day 12

Praise God for Our Life

To the God and Father of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ:

Thank You for founders who established this country on the fact that You created all of us equal. John said in 1 John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. So, Father, we ask that You send forth laborers to lead all Americans to respect and protect the sacred right to life at every stage of life: whether You lead them through the internet, television, the silver screen, education or entertainment.  We ask that You use all forms of media to keep this freedom before the American people.  We know that Your sheep, those who follow You, know Your voice. Therefore, they shall hear it and follow Your lead.

We ask that you reveal to Americans the true meaning of life.  For in Jesus is life, as it says in 1 John 1:4, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”

Therefore, Father, we all have a right to life – life as you have it.  We can pursue life to get out of the dark places that we’ve been in.  We say about ourselves what Psalm 139:13-14:  “For You formed my inward parts; I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.”

Father, we praise you for the life You’ve given us, even from our mother’s womb.  We thank you for not allowing anyone to cut our life short before we ever saw the light of day.  We count it an honor to live this life, and to live it for you to the praise of Your glory.  In Jesus’ name, we pray.

Amen.  So be it.
