As I looked over scriptures about Easter – or what I like to call Resurrection Day – I found the prayer that I pray for all of our Faith is Now readers. I also found two astonishing facts within the beautiful plan of salvation. Resurrection Day is about the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But you will see as you read the passages in Ephesians that Resurrection Day is also about you -- when He was raised up, you were raised up with Him. Let’s take a closer look.
Here is a portion of my prayer:
17 [For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him, 18 By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones),
As you read further into Chapter 2 you will see that God didn’t leave you the way He found you.
1AND YOU [He made alive], when you were dead (slain) by [your] trespasses and sins…
4 But God--so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us, 5 Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ;
God loves you so much. It was God’s grace that raised Him from the dead, so that His grace could raise you up with Christ Jesus. How do you experience His wonderful love? Accept all that He has done for you.
The resurrection of Jesus is our victory song. Because He lives, we live. When we accept Jesus as our Lord, not only are we recreated, but we are seated at the right hand of the throne of God far above anything that could come against us. That means that when adversity shows up in our life, we can apply the word of God to that situation and the adversity flees through faith in the name of Jesus.
Now it’s your move:
If you haven’t already, we invite you to receive Jesus as your Lord today.
Ro 10:9 says “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (KJV)
Romans 10:11 “The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.” (Amplified Bible)
When you trust in God, He will never disappoint you. He will do what He said he will do.
