Getting Down to Business in Prayer
The purpose of prayer is to get results.
Every word that Jesus spoke was on purpose. He did not talk to fill in dead space. So, when He said that He will do what you ask in prayer in His name, He meant business.
Prayer is the way we communicate with God. Prayer is not preaching. Prayer is not reciting the liturgy. Prayer is not fellowship with other believers. Prayer is operating in a living faith communicating with a living God. And when you ask God in prayer, believing, you shall receive (Matthew 21:22).
Here's what to do if you are praying without getting results:
However, there is something wrong, somewhere. If it isn't God, the only one left is you. God will show you what you're doing wrong if you ask Him. Then, when He reveals it to you, make the adjustment and begin praying according to His way. You can count on God. He is ready to give it to you according to His word. When done right, our prayers cannot fail.
