One Simple Word - "Love"

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13

In our last blog entitled UNCLOG THE PIPES, we said that you receive from God by taking what He said you can have. We then discovered that “faith is the hand that receives” (Mrs. C. Nuzum, The Life of Faith) the blessing, but sometimes it seems that the blessing isn’t coming when you need it to come. If anything is stopping your blessing, it is the devil. Therefore, the Bible says to resist the devil and he will flee so that your blessing can flow through to you freely.

Here are three of the things the devil uses to stop the flow of your blessing: Unforgiveness, strife and bitterness. Today, we are going to find out how to resist these things so that we can keep our faith pipes clear.

The opposite of unforgiveness, strife and bitterness is found in one simple word: LOVE. If you love someone, you’ll forgive them. If you love someone, you decide to drop the anger and bitterness you have against them. One person says it this way, “You let them off the hook.” If you don’t, you aren’t hurting them. You are hurting yourself, because you are clogging your faith pipe. Unclog that pipe with LOVE, because “...faith works by love.” (Galatians 5:6)

When you resist the devil by deciding to love, then you can receive by faith. Receiving means that you have to hold onto your blessing like a bulldog holds onto a bone. Most dogs don’t like it when you take away their bone. They will growl at you as if to dare you to touch it. You have to be as aggressive about holding onto your desire when you are holding on by faith, because it is the devil that is trying to take it from you. Don’t let him. Seize it with a grip that cannot be shaken off no matter how long it takes. When you do, God will see to it that you get and keep your blessing.

You can depend on God. I didn’t say you can depend on your friend, or your teacher, or some other person. I said you can depend on God. He’s already done His part, so there’s no need to wait on Him any longer. He’s waiting on you. When you do your part, you witness the blessing you desire. So ask God, in the name of Jesus, for what you want. Then take it with the hand of faith.  Hold onto it until it materializes.  When you trust in God, you will not be disappointed.
